Lead Veterinary Assistant
Cindy joined The Cat Doctor in 2011. She has had a love for animals since she was 5 years old and had always dreamed of being a veterinarian. Cindy has been working as a veterinary assistant since 2005, and has realized that her passion is in veterinary nursing. She graduated from California State University Northridge with a B.S. in Business Marketing. Cindy loves working with the complex nature of a feline only practice and prefers to now specialize in felines only. She has also raised nine guide dogs for the blind through Guide Dogs of America. When Cindy is not saving the lives of cats and improving the lives of her fellow mankind with her service dogs, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, snowboarding and outdoor adventures.
Drew was born and raised in Ventura, graduating from Buena High School in 1994. He then spent 7 years in Arizona where he began his career working and caring for animals after accepting a position at a very large shelter in Tucson. Returning to Ventura in 2001, he shifted his focus from animal welfare to companion animal medicine and surgery working at several animal hospitals in Ventura County over the past 12 years. Drew joined the team at All Cats Clinic in 2007, which soon became The Cat Doctor in 2008. He held the position as Lead Veterinary Assistant for 5 years. Drew left for a short time in 2012 to pursue other interests, but ultimately missed the friendships he had made with the special clients and their feline family members at The Cat Doctor and is thrilled to be part of The Cat Doctor team. When not at work, he enjoys reading, yard work, and spending time with family and friends.

He always dreamed of being in the veterinary field, and has a passion for animal care since he was a small child. His time away from The Cat Doctor is spent relaxing with his exotic, Bentley and continuing his education of feline care. Blake also has a passion for music as he plays five instruments, including the saxophone.
Jiya has always been a bit of an animal fanatic. As a young child, she would find injured animals and nurse them back to health to be released back into the wildlife or, if unable to be released or a pet, kept in her home. She was always coming home with strays (as still is!) lost and alone, looking for their homes. In 2009, she started working at Petco, and in 2010 she became a dog trainer. Between 2010 and 2012 she worked on her dog training skills before leaving Petco. In 2012, she began working in Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Assistant. She fell in love with the job and has been doing it ever since. Now she is planning to return to school to get a license and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her down time, she can be found drawing or writing normally at home or out in a park while her son plays. She is the mother of an eight year old long hair black cat, named Luna, and another eight year old, though of the human boy variety.
Ever since she was a little girl, Jessica loved being surrounded by animals. At one point, she had two dogs, two canaries, two hamsters, two goldfish and a water turtle! And she thoroughly enjoyed taking care of each. Jessica has been in the customer service and administrative field since 2005. In 2012 she graduated from Cal State Northridge with a BA in Psychology. After graduating she helped her husband run their family owned business. She realized her passion for working with animals when her three cats adopted her. When she is not at The Cat Doctor she is spending time with her 007 fur-babies; James Bond, Miss Moneypenny and M.
